9 Easy Ways to Add More Raw Foods Into Your Daily Diet

Adding more raw foods into your daily diet can be a tricky balancing act, especially when you are in the middle of an intense detoxification process. These are 9 easy ways to add more raw foods into your daily diet

Tip 1: Start Slow for Lasting Success

As soon as you will start to see and feel the advantages of raw food, you will probably be tempted to change your entire diet overnight and replace everything with raw alternatives. Although that might sound like a good idea at first sight, it can lead to digestion problems or intense detox reactions. Do you want to make it easy on yourself? Start slow and go at your own pace. I always advice my coaching clients to experiment with healthy vegan transition recipes until they are ready to add more raw foods into their daily diet. Your body knows what’s best for you, so take the time to listen.

Tip 2: Detox with Lemon Water

I always start my day with a large glass of lukewarm lemon water. This will not only help your body to detoxify and cleanse, but it will also help to keep your skin clear, prepare your digestive system for breakfast, stimulate weight loss and help to satisfy coffee cravings. Since lemons are low in sugar and high in vitamin C, they will not cause any spikes in your blood sugar level either. To make your morning ‘lemonade’, simply squeeze half a lemon into a glass or mug of lukewarm water. If you don’t like the sour taste of lemons in the morning, you can add a few drops of stevia to sweeten things up.

Tip 3: Love your Green Smoothies

Did you know that green smoothies are a great way to curb sugar cravings and overcome emotional eating? They are my favorite breakfast & snack of all time! Green smoothies are delicious, healthy and extremely nutrient dense. Even if you only have one glass of green smoothie a day, your energy levels will go up and your weight will go down.
