“Thank you, Julie, for the safe haven in which this journey was able to land. Your presence was felt in every step—discreet, but clear. You provided direction without controlling, space without distance. What touched me is that, as a guide, you didn't need to be in the foreground to be deeply present. This trip was more than a trip. And you were more than a guide.” - Hilde

“Great vacation, well organized, with only nice people. Thank you!” - Gert

“What a wonderful trip this was. Thank you very much for the conviviality and the fascinating excursions. So much to think about! A very successful vacation.” - Irene

Extra review(s)

“Egypt had been at the top of my bucket list for a long time. But for one reason or another, I just never got around to it. When I saw Julie’s trip, I knew right away that I had to sign up. This was exactly what I’d been waiting for. Everything was just right: the perfect balance between exploring the local culture and ancient Egyptian civilization. Your knowledge of the ancient mystery schools. The local restaurants, lunch at Mama Jadia’s near the Temple of Abydos, the invitation to a delicious dinner with our guide’s family in Luxor. The visit to the pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Valley of the Kings. Discovering the unique temples and gods, the first zodiac, and the golden hour at the Temple of Luxor. Our guide Mostafa was a perfect fit for our wonderful group. The Nile, the jeep safari through the desert, the visit to Whale Valley and Magic Lake, sandboarding, and stargazing. Our visit to the GEM, the road trips through the local villages, the meditation on the rooftop near the Temple of Seti I. The beautiful and comfortable hotels. The local cuisine—I’ve never eaten so well on vacation. The fact that vegetarian, vegan, and food allergy options were the norm. And I’m probably forgetting all sorts of things. I want to thank you for your thoughtfulness and the calmness you radiate. You not only pampered us but also further fueled my interest in ancient Egypt and the mystery schools. And as I type these words, I’m looking through my photos from this extraordinary trip once again. This wasn’t just any trip! It touched something deep within me. Egypt will stay with me for a long time to come!” Kristel Cuyvers
