Purple Cabbage Detox Wraps with Lemon Dijon Guacamole

Mains

I have these weird cravings… Not for chocolate - although I like my banana cacao nib boats ☺, not for ice cream, not even for cookies! I have cravings for spicy vegetables. Mustard greens, arugula, red radishes, daikon, watercress, horseradish, black radishes: I devour them all! Did you know mustard vegetables have strong detoxifying properties? They are very high in sulphur, an essential mineral to cleanse your liver, and feed your hair, skin and nails. Perfect to get the glow! This Purple Cabbage Detox Wraps with Lemon Dijon guacamole combines the spicy taste of black radishes with the sweet flavor of juicy pears and the creamy texture of avocado. It only takes about 15 minutes to prepare and it is loaded with rejuvenating minerals such as calcium, magnesium and potassium. What’s not to like?

JULIE’S TIPS & TRICKS:

  • This lemon Dijon guacamole will quickly lose its taste once you put it in the refrigerator. I know you probably have a very busy schedule like most of us, so if you would like to save time in the kitchen you can cut your vegetables in advance and store them in the refrigerator. This way, you will have everything ready and more then enough time left to whip up a fresh bowl of guacamole!
  • If you don’t like cilantro, you can replace it with other herbs of your choice such as basil, parsley, rosemary… Or why not add watercress for a change?
